North American Interfraternity Council (NIC)

NGLA is proud to partner with the North American Interfraternity Council to offer programming intended for individuals attending the NGLA Annual Conference that are members of a fraternities associated with the NIC.

Later this year, NGLA will announce programming for the 2022 NGLA Annual Conference.

IFC Crash Course: A Practical Guide for IFC Officers presented by Kyle Martin and Will Foran

Friday, February 26, 2021 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Was the transition from the previous IFC officer to you subpar? Are you feeling lost on what you're even supposed to do as an IFC officer? If so, this session is for you. NIC staff members will discuss and provide practice advice for you and your new position. This session will explore the role of the IFC, IFC Operations, resources for the IFC and NIC Standards and policies so you leave prepared and confident to lead your fraternity community.

JV vs Varsity: Advanced IFC Operations presented by Kyle Martin and Will Foran

Is your IFC operating at a Varsity level or do you want to be operating at a Varsity level? If so, come to this session with NIC staff where we will discuss more advanced council operations and how to best support councils that are looking to take the next step and move beyond 10 minute meetings.

We Aren't The Party Police So What Are We? Establishing the Role of the IFC presented by Kyle Martin and Will Foran

When you joined your organization, you became a member with certain responsibilities. These were commitments made to yourself and your chapter. Similarly, when you agreed to become a leader in the IFC community, you assumed additional responsibilities. However, these new commitments extend beyond your immediate chapter and to the fraternity and sorority community as a whole. This session will help attendees recognize the different mindset required and provide practical advice for leading the fraternity community.
