Conference Registration2012 NGLA CONFERENCE REGISTRATION is LIVE! Registration is $190 a person. A late fee goes into effect January 23, 2012. The late fee is $220 a person. We are still happy to offer a free advisor registration per 10 students registered. It is okay to register people as TBA prior to Jan. 23rd if you are not sure of the students who are attending yet. We will have a feature on our new website where you can go in and make updates yourself as the TBD's become people.
Code of Conduct The future of our conference depends on the good will we develop with hotel properties throughout the Northeast. NGLA takes the conduct of its participants seriously. All conference participants are expected to respect the property and rights of the hotel and its guests. Regardless of the age of the guest, no alcohol will be permitted at the hotel and participants are prohibited from drinking at the hotel. Excessive noise will not be tolerated and the laws of the State of Connecticut apply to all in attendance. Individuals violating hotel and conference policy will be asked to leave the conference with no refund of fees. Institutions with early check outs due to violations of the Code of Conduct will be assessed a fee, payable to NGLA, equal to the amount of lost revenue incurred by NGLA as a result of lost room nights. Appropriate college or university officials and inter/national fraternity or sorority staff members will be notified of the conduct of those violating these expectations. Councils found in violation of the NGLA Code of Conduct are ineligible to participate in the following year’s recognition program. Additionally, a college or university with repeat violations will jeopardize that institution’s future attendance at the conference.
Dress Code and Special Events Thursday is a travel day so all participants are invited to dress casually for our evening speaker and welcome activity. Professional attire is required for Friday and Saturday conference activities. The conference is an educational and professional opportunity, and dress and conduct should reflect a professional image. T-shirts, jeans, sweats or other similar casual attire during the conference sessions is inappropriate. Recruitment t-shirts, party t-shirts and other paraphernalia that displays images or slogans contrary to the values of NGLA should be left at home. Saturday evening’s closing banquet is a bit more formal: Coat and tie for men and dresses for women are appropriate.
Please remember that colleges and universities also pay an association fee when registering that is as follows: 1-15 chapters: $100 16-20 chapters: $125 21-25 chapters: $150 26-30 chapters: $175 31+ chapters: $200
