We can’t wait for you to join us for the 2024 NGLA Annual Conference in Hartford, CT!

The health and safety of our attendees and communities are top priorities for NGLA. To help support a safe experience, we’ve updated our policies, including the NGLA Code of Conduct, and implemented new guidelines. Our team evaluates our policies regularly to ensure compliance with public health mandates and recommendations. We will continue to update our health and safety information as needed.

In accordance with the recent CDC mask guidance update, NGLA has updated our face coverings policy for the 2024 NGLA Annual Conference.

Together, we can all create an enjoyable experience centered on education and community building by following our health & safety guidelines and Code of Conduct.

** COVID-19 Policy **

Vaccination Encouraged

In an effort to prioritize the health and safety of our attendees and the communities around us, NGLA recommends all individuals that are attending the 2024 NGLA Annual Conference in Hartford, CT be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

The CDC defines “Fully Vaccinated” as having received all doses in the primary series and all boosters recommended for you, when eligible. 

Face Coverings

NGLA will follow the CDC and local requirements for face coverings that are effective at the time of the 2024 NGLA Annual Conference. Everyone joining us in Hartford, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status, should be prepared to bring a disposable 3-ply, KN95, or N95 mask and wear it in all public spaces of the Marriott Hartford Downtown should a Hartford County or Marriott Hotel face covering mandate be active. People attending the 2024 NGLA Annual Conference should be prepared to be in public spaces with individuals who choose not to wear a face covering if not mandated.

Everyone should feel comfortable and supported in their decision to wear a face covering if optional.


What to Expect On-Site

Increased Sanitation and Hygiene

NGLA continues to work with the Marriott Hartford Downtown to implement sanitization standards. Sanitizer stations will be available throughout the event space. It is the responsibility of everyone to practice proper personal hygiene.

Follow All Signage and Direction from Staff

Logistics adjustments may occur during the event. Please follow instructions from NGLA as well as Marriott staff.

Follow the Code of Conduct

Please be aware of and respect the personal boundaries of your fellow attendees so that everyone can enjoy their experience. Violation of the NGLA Code of Conduct or Hartford public health guidelines and may result in dismissal from the conference.

What is “Fully Vaccinated” COVID-19 vaccination?

“Fully Vaccinated" COVID-19 vaccination means by the time of your arrival at the conference you are at least 14 days after your:

  • Second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine {or} First dose of a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine AND
  • Booster of COVID-19 vaccine, if recommended for you and eligible.

All vaccines must be approved or authorized by the FDA or WHO against COVID-19.

Are face coverings required during the conference?

What if an attendee develops symptoms prior to arrival?

Please do not attend the NGLA Annual Conference if you experience COVID-19 symptoms prior to traveling. Delegations may substitute attendees at the Registration Desk at no additional charge if a planned attendee cannot attend.

What if an attendee develops symptoms on-site?

Individuals must comply with CDC guidelines about COVID-19 regarding isolation or quarantine. Associated costs are the responsibility of the individual.
