2026 NGLA Annual Conference Call for Student Staff

Call for Student Staff

The NGLA Annual Conference is run with the support of student volunteers, also known as Student Staff. Student Staff, both undergraduate and graduate, are an important part of the success of the NGLA Annual Conference. This volunteer role is a great opportunity to learn about conference management, meet fellow fraternity & sorority members, and network with higher education and fraternal professionals.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in pre-conference training.
  • Attend Conference Committee meetings as able.
  • Assist with audio/visual needs for on-site educational programming.
  • Assist with all aspects of on-site programming, including but not limited to monitoring event attendance, supporting the Silent Auction, and helping execute evening programming.
  • Participate in evening on-call rotation.
  • Provide excellent customer service for conference participants, attendees, and exhibitors.
  • Participate in the NGLA Mentoring Program with members of the Conference Committee before, during, and after the conference.
  • Provide support to other areas of the conference team as needed.
  • Uphold NGLA policies and procedures, including the NGLA Code of Conduct.

The Student Staff Captain participates in the selection of the NGLA Student Staff Team and supports Student Staff on-site in coordination with the Student Staff Chair. One year of experience volunteering for NGLA as a member of the Student Staff is strongly preferred. Enrollment full-time in any field of study for the 2025-2026 academic year is preferred.

Lodging, food, conference registration, and a $200 travel stipend will be provided by NGLA. Training is remote and therefore requires access to a stable internet connection and telephone. Expenses related to remote work are not reimbursed.
